Another finish for a friend

I finished this little fella last night  and delivered it to my friend today. Luckily she was happy with it.

Trying to find the right colour for his eyes proved very challenging and I'm still not sure about these ones, what do you think?

I was asked to make this for a friend. It did prove challenging but it was well worth it in the end.

Another Catch up

I have been so busy making things I haven't been posting much lately so here is a little catch up!

I have been eyeing this guy off at Frazzy Dazzles for a long time and Jennifer had recently put some kits up in her etsy store so I just couldn't resist any longer. Master 9 wanted him but I said no way he is mine!

I finally finished the boy bunny to go with the ballerina bunny for my friend. I was pretty happy with the way he turned out as I came up with the changes myself to make him a boy :0)

Wow I didn't realise it had been that long since I posted!

Just realised I missed posting anything in October so here is a catch up of what I have been doing since my last post.

This was a little panel doll I had sitting in my stash just waiting to be sewn together.

I finished the pink blocks for my RSC Challenge quilt

I started on some chameleons and did some work on my Around the Bases crochet afghan 

I made a ballerina bunny for a friend

I have also been working on some things for a swap I am participating in

Like these snowflakes, I still need to starch them and get them into shape properly.

I made this cushion cover too (I hope she doesn't read my blog cause I haven't shown this side in the swap feed on instagram!)

I had fun making these little guys one is headed to my partner

And I made one of these petit fours baskets for my partner

And today I whipped up this stocking. I'm still deciding if it needs pompoms on the points. What do you think?

Just in time

I finished the quilt just in time for my daughter to come and pick it up and take it to the birthday party

A Finish

I finally finished the caterpillar my daughter asked me to make. I'm not totally happy with it's eyes I think they need to be bigger but since they were embroidered on it is a bit hard to fix :0(

Hopefully the person receiving it likes it anyway.

A Couple of Finishes

I haven't had a chance to post a picture of this yet but I had so much fun playing with some scraps to make this cute little Mini I found over at SewCanShe. There are a heap of other amazing tutorials over there too I can see I might be spending a bit of time following along making things from over there!

I even had a bit of fun giving free motion quilting a go on something other than a plain square of fabric. I still need lots of practice with it but I was happy with how this turned out!

Today I started and finished a nice quick project that had been just waiting to be done. I was really lucky to have a good friend who showed me how to do it and I am really pleased with the results.

What do you think?

I can see myself making more of these in the future especially when I am making quilts to go with them😜

I have a couple of other projects on the go at the moment and I can see I will need to update my UFO page again😳 as I am still finding projects (or starting projects with my sewing friends and not getting around to finishing them!)

One Monthly Goal Check in and August Goal

I met my July goal early in the month The Butterfly quilt was finished and delivered

I also finished a few other things that had been on my list for a while and a couple of other things too.

For August I still need to bind this quilt

and I want to finish another Crochet project or two! 

I'm off to Elm Street Quilts to check out how everyone else is doing with their goals!

One Of Those Quilts That Just Kept On Growing

DD asked me to make a quilt for one of her friends, the only stipulations were it had to be the Very Hungry Caterpillar and it needed to have green in it. So I found a panel and searched all over town for coordinating fabrics to go with it and only found two. I couldn't find a pattern I liked so I had to come up with a plan of my own.  I decided to offset the two blocks from the panel with two big green blocks. Then I added lots of coloured circles to the green blocks and all that was needed was some sashings and borders! What do you think?

 Is this quilt too big for a one year old????

Loving the Fanfare!

I have fallen head over heels for the latest range of fabrics at my local quilt store. It is called Fanfare! So far I have made these little baskets but I do have some other projects planned using this fabric!

I finally finished the binding on this quilt that has been on my list for the past few months😁

I finished it just in time too! We have just had visitors arrive!

Having finished that I had a bit of fun playing around with these cute little pouches

Finally Finished Mumma Turtle

I finally got some more black yarn for my dragon so I could finally finish my turtle too! Now Mumma and Baby have been reunited 😉

Progress

This is the latest project I have been working on and it is very close to being finished😃

 Hoping to get it finished while I am creating with my Friday Night Friends!

Luckily that wasn't one of the links I accidentally deleted when I was trying to update my page! I was trying to update my things I am participating list and I accidentally deleted the whole list! ARRRGGGHH! Of course now I can't find some of the buttons because either I started participating in them a long time ago or I've forgotten what else I was participating in. Oh well I will have to find some new things to participate in.... Any suggestions?

Well it's all finished and ready to deliver! Tomorrow is going to be such a long day as I wait for the right moment to give it to the person it is intended for! I'm soo excited to see what their reaction will be!

July OMG Project

I've decided that my July project will be to get the binding on the butterfly quilt now it is back from the quilter...plus I would really like to be able to give it to the person it is for by the end of the week! That should put me off to a great start to the month and I may even get a few other things finished that I still haven't  managed to get done!😣

Yellow blocks completed

Finally I feel like I'm making some progress with my 2014 RSC quilt . 

Today I finished the Yellow blocks

I also made the last of the blue blocks that I had started ages ago but had one more block to make

I have also finished the purple blocks

the more I make of them the more I want to get the quilt finished. 

I'm off to decide which colour to do next(since I already did the blue) I still have to catch up some colours from earlier in the year. I'm linking up with RSC on soscrappy

RSC Progress

I haven't worked on these for a while so I really need to get stuck in and do a heap more but I did get these three finished and I'm off to work on some more yellow blocks after I check out what everyone else has been doing for their RSC Blocks this week.

One finished One to Go

I joined a crochet along to make these cute little watermelon turtles. I have finished the smaller one and I just need to finish sewing the bigger one but I have run out of black so it will have to wait for a bit.
