It's amazing what a difference thread makes!

but with a different thread and this is the difference between them

I Did Do Some Sewing This Week....

I just haven't taken a photo of it yet! 

I have also been working on some crochet projects that other people have asked me to do. I started work on another bigger, more complicated bunny, but I came to a standstill with that project and I wanted something to do tonight, but I didn't feel like getting the sewing machine out so I started on another project. My sister had asked me to make some gifts for a friend of hers who had recently had a baby. I had read about these little crocheted octopus that were being used in neonatal wards to help the preemie babies and I thought that perhaps they would be beneficial to any baby so I decided to make one of those to go with the gift. 

I was pretty happy with how he turned out.

Master Eight's Latest Creation

Master eight designed this block himself, all I had to do was cut and pin it for him (cause I won't let him use the rotary cutter just yet and pinning is boring!)  and he did all the rest.

This is one he has been wanting me to post that he made a while ago but for some reason I never posted it.

He picked the colours and sewed it all himself except where the claws went in because that was a bit tricky! It was a free pattern from Dear Stella Designs.

Oops I did it again!

I did some more crocheting instead of sewing again today. I made this one for a friend who asked for a rat when they saw one of my other creations. I hope they like it!

I Couldn't Help Myself

I know I said I was going to get back to some sewing but I just couldn't help myself I really wanted to make this little fellow to keep someone special company when they read!

Today's Project

I had fun with the elephants the other day so today I decided to work on a different elephant. I found a cute pattern by Theresa's Crochet Shop on amigurumipatterns. I bought some nice soft cotton and it went together so quickly and easily.

Another Amigurumi bunny finished

I finally finished the last of the small amigurumi bunnies I had to make. I took a picture of it with my embroidery scissors to give you a better idea of their size.

I'm not to sure about the face on this one .. I might need to try and do it again. I will sleep on it and see what I think in the morning.

Sewing with Friends

I had fun last night sewing along with all my internet friends and got March off to a good start! I finally put those finishing touches on the elephants.

All I really had to do was stitch up the area where I stuffed it and do some colonial knots for eyes.

I also nearly finished one of the four rabbits I need to sew

I just need to hem the dress and put some buttons on it and it is done.

Off to see what everyone else has been doing  for FNwF!

Time to Fess Up!

Ok so February was a bit of a bust for me. I didn't do anything on my OMG project so today it still looks like this 

I didn't get any of my teal blocks made for the RSC

Instead I crocheted rabbits and started a new project (you know one of those DREAMi projects or Squirrels that just have to be made NOW!) , which I hoped to at least get the top finished until I went to put the first border on (on Sunday) and discovered that the extra fabric I had bought was the wrong fabric! So even that didn't get to the point I hoped it would.  Then I started another project which has been sitting for a few days now just waiting for some finishing touches. February has been spent adding to my UFO list instead of marking things off it (rolls eyes) So guess what my projects will be for March....Yep all those things I didn't finish in February, plus four rabbits I was asked to sew today, one sewn dinosaur, a crocheted octopus, three crocheted dinosaurs and maybe a crocheted elephant and a crocheted panda.  I also got my Meadow Mist Mystery quilt back from the quilter so I would like to put the binding on that too.  

Uhh ohh just remembered I still have a crocheted bunny or two I still need to finish too..... Looks like March is going to be busy!!!!
