Another Bookmark

One of my friends saw the bookmark I had made and asked for one too. Lucky they are quick to make!

Mug Rug Set

When I was in my LQS the other day I noticed this beautiful pattern with printed quotes included for some mug rugs. I not only love patchwork but I love good quotes too so it was too hard to resist. I also love Kate Spain fabrics and a new line of her fabrics had just arrived at the store so I decided to make the mug rugs with that. I have had lots of fun making these and I even quilted them myself, something I am not very confident with. (I only used my walking foot and echoed the seam lines) I enjoyed these so much and they are the perfect size for a domestic machine so I am considering getting one of the other sets and having a go at free motion quilting on them....maybe...

But first I need to get these ones bound so that is what I will be working on while I am watching tv tonight.

Another Elephant

When DD asked me to make the fish for her she also asked me to make another crocheted  elephant for her. It is a gift for a baby so this time I sewed some eyes on instead of using the safety eyes. I also made the bow but I haven't sewn it on as we don't know the sex of the baby. What do you think?

A little more sewing

DD asked me if I could make a gift for her friend. She asked me to make a fish for her in the fabrics left over from a quilt I had made for her last year. Ok I had to find a pattern that's when I went looking on the internet and discovered my favourite quilt shop Quilty Desires had just got in some Magic Rainbow Fish fabric, so as I was making a fish anyway I thought I might just make one using that fabric too! I found the cutest little fish pattern by Fluff Engine and away I went! I made three fish in the end but I forgot to take a photo of all of them before I gave one away. So here are the two I did remember to take a photo of.

Something Special for a Friend

A friend of mine plays hockey out at Alice Springs for their masters games. The team they play for are called the Dead Ants and she had been looking for a little mascot to take with her so I crocheted an ant using a pattern I bought via Ravelry. I put crosses on his eyes to show he was a dead ant  and gave him a mouth with a tongue hanging out. Then I added a hockey stick and a bottle of drink as that is what the ant has on their shirts.  I hope she likes it!

One for the Roosters Fans

When my Mum saw the rooster I made she asked me to make one for a family friend who follows the Roosters Rugby League Team. So here he is...

I think he turned out pretty good!

Crazy for Crochet at the moment!

Yesterday I finished up the last of the dinosaurs I was making for my sister. Master Eight picked out the colours and we think it turned out pretty good!

Last night I started on a new little something that I was eager to try. I had a few dramas with it and learnt how to do a few new things and in the end I think it turned out ok. What do you think?

Brachiosaurus

Ok so I have gone back to crochet again and I am still working on dinosaurs. Today I finished this Brachiosaurus and I have started a on a stegosaurus.

The Dinosaurs are patterns by madelenon crochet design. She has some really cute patterns, if you crochet you should check her out!

Just finished these two I really love Melly and Me patterns they are so easy to make! This one is from the Sewn Toy Tales book.

Anyway I'm off to finish some more dinosaurs, crocheted ones this time.

More Bunnies Finished

I finally finished the bunnies a friends had asked me to make, just in time too she wanted them for Easter.

It seems by my list of finishes I am very much in toy making mode this year!!!
