Yellow blocks completed

Finally I feel like I'm making some progress with my 2014 RSC quilt .
Today I finished the Yellow blocks
I also made the last of the blue blocks that I had started ages ago but had one more block to make
I have also finished the purple blocks
the more I make of them the more I want to get the quilt finished.
I'm off to decide which colour to do next(since I already did the blue) I still have to catch up some colours from earlier in the year. I'm linking up with RSC on soscrappy

RSC Progress

I haven't worked on these for a while so I really need to get stuck in and do a heap more but I did get these three finished and I'm off to work on some more yellow blocks after I check out what everyone else has been doing for their RSC Blocks this week.

One finished One to Go

I joined a crochet along to make these cute little watermelon turtles. I have finished the smaller one and I just need to finish sewing the bigger one but I have run out of black so it will have to wait for a bit.

Hats finished and safely delivered

Apparently they were very happy with them too!

I was supposed to be finishing hats first.....

...but I couldn't help myself. This was just waiting to be made and it kept calling and calling "Make Me, Make Me" so I did. It was much quicker and easier than the bunny. The Bunnies & Yarn pattern was so well written and easy to follow. What do you think?

I'm so excited she is finally finished!

When I first took up crocheting one of my friends asked if someone could make her a bunny she had seen on facebook it was a free pattern and although it was way more complicated than the other things I had made I said I would give it a go. It tested me and it was much harder than anything else I had crocheted. I learnt a lot by making it. I'm actually glad I didn't notice the warning about not attempting this if you were a beginner that was at the beginning of the webpage because I might not have attempted it. I gave it a go and I am very happy with the results. I hope my friend will be too!

May OMG & OPAM Finishes & June Goals

May got off to a great start I finished off this top and took it to the quilters
Then I got this one bound
I even got this top finished and took it to the quilters too!
Then I got distracted by other things so I still have these two quilts to bind but maybe they can be my June goal.

I'm heading over to Elm Street Quilts to see what others achieved in May and what they have planned for June.

Where did the last few weeks go?

I didn't realise how long it had been since I last posted. Here are some of the things I have been working on since the last post. I've done some more blocks for the Free Motion Quilting Project

I think I need a bit more practice with this one I was very wobbly, but I am liking the darker thread on the fabric.

I put this quilt top together.

I made some repairs to a friends teddy and discovered teddy likes playing ninja turtles so I made him a ninja turtle mask while I was at it!

I really need to practice those curvy lines!

I started making some postcards for an upcoming postcard swap being hosted by Quilty Desires

I will keep you posted about the sign ups incase anyone would like to join in.
