Week 5 Check in

Hooray it’s finally finished. The shawl has been completed, I probably could have done a row or two more but once the final colour change came through I didn’t want to risk running out of yarn.  I do still need to weave in the ends and stretch it but the actual crocheting is complete.

So then I put a few more rounds on my Campfire Quilt. This was one of those patterns I just had to make ( it’s by  Suzyquilts )but it came to standstill when I wasn’t feeling the best so hopefully it won’t be too much longer before I finish it.

When I didn’t have time to get the machine out I worked a little more on my Home SewnSampler Bag by Anni Downs

I also did some stitching on a project my eldest boy started about 15 years ago. I call it his psychedelic chicken ( they are certainly colours I would never have dreamed of picking😂). I am going to make it into a cushion for him.

So all in all a productive week.

15 minute days/ week = 7/7 days
15 minute days/January = 31/31 days
15 minute days/2020 =32/32 days
Success rate = 100%

Well I’m off to Kate’s Life in Pieces to see what everyone else has been working on this week. Thank you for stopping by to see what I’ve done. Sooner or later I’ll figure out how to post comments from this device🤦‍♀️

Week 4 Check In

I am glad this year has gotten off to a really good start for me with this goal. Although I may not have had a finish yet I am seeing progress which is the most important thing 😜.  This week was again spent mostly working on the shawl, I’m beginning to think I have a never ending ball of yarn 🙄 surely it has to come to an end soon.

I also finished my Snoopy block I am just trying to decide whether it needs a border or not. I am just making a mini out of it because I loved the block and I was trying out foundation paper piecing when I started it. What do you think does it need a border?

Well I’m off to Kate’s Life in Pieces to check out what everyone else has been working on during their 15 minutes.

15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
15 minute days/January = 25/25 days
15 minute days/2020 = 25/25 days
Success rate = 100%

Another check in😁

Just checking in with Kate over at Life In Pieces for the 15 minutes to stitch. So far this year I have managed to stay on track😁. I was expecting to finish my shawl this week and if I had just stuck to the pattern I would have been but I had this much yarn remaining on my ball and I thought it would be a waste not to use the whole colour spectrum so I have decided to extend it a bit.

This is what it currently looks like

I also managed to fix the block I had mucked up last week

15 minute days/ week = 7/7 days
15 minute days/January = 18/18 days
15 minute days/2020 = 18/18 days

Success rate = 100%

I wanted to thank everyone who stops by I really appreciate you visiting and your comments. I have been visiting your blogs and reading along and seeing how everyone is doing but I haven’t figured out how to leave comments from my mobile device. My computer died and I have been struggling to post from my phone. Just know I am cheering you on silently until I can figure out how to do it from my phone.

15 Minute Check In

So the second week has come to and end and I’m happy to report I got 15 minutes a day in every day this week. I spent most of the week working on my shawl and I have made such good progress I’m expecting to have it finished in week 3.  I only have about 5 rows to go now 😁

The other thing I did a bit of work on was my RSC quilt from 2014. I completed another block only to realise the next day I had put part of it in wrongly so now I need to fix it but all in all progress was made.

15 minute days/week = 7/7 days
15 minute days/January = 11/11 days
15 minute days/2020 = 11/11 days
Success rate = 100%

15 minutes😁

I have managed to do my 15 minutes and sometimes more everyday this week which has helped me make progress on some ufos😁.  I did end up making a list of things I had started and I’m afraid to say I have 56😱 projects to complete 😳. If the progress I have made this week is anything to go by I should able to make the list a bit shorter by the end of the year.

The things I have made progress with this week include
Rainbow Buddha Shawl

Farmers Wife Sampler quilt

The first 2 blocks I had finished. I only had to add the handle to the basket block and I made the fourth block.

Home Sewn Sampler Bag

The first five photos of this are just a reference to where I am at with it, the last photo shows some of the progress I made with it this week.

So so far in 2020 I have done

15 minute days/week = 4/4 days
15 minute days/January = 4/4 days
15 minute days/2020 = 4/4 days
Success rate = 100%

Have to be happy with that😃
